The Jubiläumsweg is a varied hiking trail that is not only scenic but also has interesting historical backgrounds. Over a length of approximately 8 kilometers, it leads hikers through Ruhpolding's dense mountain forest, which once served as an important source of wood for the salt works in Traunstein. The trail leads up to the Alpengasthof Brandler Alm and the Wittelsbacher Höhe on Zellerberg, which was named in memory of the 100th anniversary of the Kingdom of Bavaria. A highlight is the panoramic bench, which invites you to take a break and offers a magnificent view over the Ruhpolding valley, the Rauschberg massif, and the surrounding mountains and valleys.


The Unternberg is a popular destination in Ruhpolding and offers numerous opportunities for autumn hikes. One of the most popular routes leads from the valley station of the Rauschbergbahn to the summit of the Unternberg. The Röthelmoos is a high moor near Ruhpolding and offers a unique hiking trail through the fascinating landscape. The circular trail is about 4 kilometers long and leads through the idyllic moorland, past rare plants and animals. The hike is also suitable for families with children and offers a welcome change to the classic mountain hikes. A special highlight is the observation of the cranes that stop here in autumn on their way south.
